THE TRAVEL FAQ
Miami International Airport (MIA) is the recommended airport for guests sailing from Miami. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) may also be an option, but be sure to allow additional travel time to Miami.
We strongly recommend arriving in Miami at least one day before the cruise. This gives you extra time in case of flight delays, cancellations, weather issues, or lost luggage.
If arriving the day before sailing, choose the flight time that works best for you. We do not recommend flying into Miami on the morning of embarkation unless absolutely necessary.
You can begin monitoring flights as soon as your cabin is secured. Compare airlines and fares before booking, and always double-check your travel dates before purchasing.
Avoid booking an early-morning flight on the day the ship returns. Give yourself plenty of time to disembark, collect your luggage, travel to the airport, and complete airport security.
Miami International Airport (MIA) is the primary recommended airport because of its proximity to the Miami cruise terminals.
Yes. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) can be an alternative, but it is farther from the Miami cruise port, so plan for additional transportation time and cost.
If you're traveling into Miami, we strongly recommend staying overnight before sailing rather than arriving on embarkation day.
Downtown Miami, Brickell, Miami Beach, and areas convenient to PortMiami are popular choices. Consider both your budget and transportation time when choosing a hotel.
We strongly recommend traveling with a valid passport. Entry and cruise documentation requirements can vary based on citizenship and itinerary, so each traveler is responsible for confirming the documentation required for their trip.
Passport validity requirements vary by destination and traveler nationality. Check the current requirements for every destination on the itinerary well before departure.
Pack for warm Caribbean weather, cruise activities, retreat classes, dinners, nightlife, beach days, excursions, and any themed events announced before sailing.
Keep your passport and identification, medications, wallet, phone, chargers, valuables, important documents, and anything you'll need immediately after boarding with you.
Unless specifically listed as part of your retreat package, plan to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport, hotel, and cruise terminal.
You can use rideshare, taxi, private transportation, or another available transportation service. Make sure your driver has the correct cruise line and terminal information.
The U.S. dollar is convenient for many parts of your trip, but local currency and accepted payment methods vary by destination.
It's helpful to carry a small amount of cash for tips, small purchases, transportation, or vendors that may not accept cards.
Virgin Voyages offers onboard internet options. Availability, speeds, included access, and premium upgrades can change, so check your sailing details for current information.
Cellular service at sea is different from normal land-based service and may result in additional carrier charges. Check your mobile plan before sailing.
DLM Level Up Retreat 2027 is sailing aboard Virgin Voyages.
Yes. Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise experience, and guests must meet the cruise line's age requirements.
Before sailing, complete the required Virgin Voyages check-in process and follow the instructions provided for your specific sailing.
Follow the arrival or boarding time assigned through your cruise reservation. Avoid arriving significantly earlier or later unless instructed otherwise.
